Turbo 4agte , what size injectors should i use ?

Postby Charged1 » Sun Oct 16, 2005 7:21 pm

Hello what would be the best size injectors to use on my turboed 4agze , and can you get some that will slot straight in , also is it a good idea to change the fuel pump ? Thanks in advance

The std injectors and pump are good for at least 170kw at the wheels.

If going to upgrade then some 440s or 550s be the way to go.

my current injectors are about standard size and were at 95% at 174kw atw. i believe 440's will stretch to just over 200kw atw.
a set of 550's out of a us market 2jzgte or latemodel 3sgte will leave you plenty of headroom and probly be capable of more than you'd ever need. . i had my set tested and they actually flowed 500cc@44psi.

I made 204 atw with injectors that flowed 410cc.
I now have a set of the USA 2JZGTE 550's and mine flowed 560cc at 3 bar or 45psi?

The 440's I've flowed actually flowed 500cc at 45 psi so they are not that far behind.

fro memory there was someone else who had a set of 3sgte 540's flowed at 500 odd cc@44psi. could be luck of the draw? or the export supra ones could be slightly different than gen4 3sgte ones. *shrug*

No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

What colour are they?
The 440's I have are grey,
and the 550's are blue/green color.

Didn't your standard ones kinda max out a bit early and melt stuff?

mined maxed out on 12psi, I even got mine flowed and cleaned 8O.
IH8TEC has doen hsi conversion and his also maxed out on the same boost.
i suppose the afm version has crappier injectors or something...

FYADUP jsut had his re-dynoed and his also maxed out on 12psi with 173kws on the standard map ecu, when he had shitty manifolds he was running 15psi easy but with only 152kws.
so it seems the flow of your manifolds makes a difference.

lol,

youre not reading that as 45psi boost are ya?

That's 400cc min inj flow rate at 45 psi fuel pressure

that would seem consistant with mine maxing out at 174kw , although i was at 15psi on a slightly smaller turbo. interesting point about the effect the manifold has too

LOL, i thought i'd join the party guys. cheers bazz, well they didnt max out, thats just wat i ran it on, just only played with it a little on ther mway before i got to Torque. Could have run about 13, well ran 13.3 on first dyno. I just couldnt get the turns on my boost tap right! :D:D Also yer true, on my old setup it would spike tro 15 every now and then, but wouldnt cut! Well i dunno wata do now, as ill prob never see that setup again.... or that mean manifold, so i dunno wata do now!
