they have a specific sensor for turbo cars, as it reacts quicker with temp rises, becasue of the boost.

i've used pretty much most of my factory sensors though just with the addition of that one.

you ONLY need the boost control solenoid IF the link is controlling your boost

an EBC has it's own solenoid

Unless the Link G3's have improved the boost control hugely over the previous model LinkPlus I wouldn't bother using it for boost control.

My LinkPlus G1 which is the last model before the G3 was released is arse at controlling boost. Its just plain arse.

how hard was it to get the link controlling the boost correctly?
would be quite handy because then you cold do boost per gear or low boost when cold unless that a feature only found on the linkplus

Pretty hard..considering it never has been able to hold a constant psi. This was done my Andre Simon and he tried a couple of times. Its ok normally but when its cold weather and/or I'm pushing it at the track, it just keeps hitting boost cut...which aint fun

He did say from the get go that Link's are'nt any good at boost control.

But as I said, this is a "G1". The G3 may be a different story.

Yeah, anything that is not a G3 and it not even worth trying to run the boost contol.
I spent hours at the track with my G1 linkplus trying to get it too work.
They were closed loop and not that flash.

The new G3 is open loop only so far, and will work really well as long as the car has a wastegate that works properly.
and you can run a dash mounted boost knob, or gear dependant or whatever you want.

I also had another tuner tell me a few years back that the Link boost control was pretty poor, this was with a V4 LinkPlus.

The new link boost control is as good as any good aftermarket ebc, they will hold a pretty much perfect boost curve as long as you have a decent wastegate setup and you can have a pot wired that lets you run vairable boost levels:) So stoked with the one in my mr2, drives like a car with a factory ecu.

yeah i'm just asking if your price you can get daily... comes with a sensor or not.

1350 might be the daily price, but I imagine that getting it through the group buy, you get a free sensor as stated.

if yours comes with the sensor for the same price, then thats sweet

Gear dependant aye... handy indeed... will have to skip this group buy, but keen on one in about 6 months.
