Back from the nats, was a good day but not for the supra first run no traction of the line as the track was still damp and we had a bad miss as i was eating spark plugs but we did a 10.7 @ 190KMS, on my 3rd run i smashed my diff doing a burn out, but i do know there is a 9sec pass in her but its getting it right.
1.5 jz mk3 supra,675rwkws at 28psi and 723rwkws at 32psi

Bummer. 10.7 is nothing to be sneezed at though - any noteable times from other cars there?

Good stuff John a new diff I think I heard 10.7 you must be laughing.

Your cars probably good for a 9.7 once fully soughted what are you going to do about you breaking diffs I no Graeme@ Croydon's was having similar problems when he was at the same stage with his car about 3-4 years ago.

I heard Rayglass was doing 1.0 60 footers F**K Me sounds like 6 second material to me

As any one tryed a trd diff, and would you think thay would be stronger than a torsan.

I no Graeme and Justin were using the small auto diffs and they are'nt up to the power you guys are making I no Justin has just bought a Big Torsen diff from a friend down here I personally don't think it will fear much better with 7000 rpm launches and all.

how about a true trac? they are supposed to be very good.
they do the detroit lockers as well, which would be more than up to the task.

Pretty sure Graeme broke 2 Cusco LSD's - in the end Joe fitted a different kind of diff altogether but then the engine broke :cry:

I went round there today. Previously hes split the head casing apart. This time I didn't see that (only had a quick look) but I think the half shafts have turned inside the head because one of them is stuck in there so tight they cut it off to remove it. The bolts that hold the crown wheel to the head have all sheared off. IMO not worth replacing with another factory diff since this is the 3rd or 4th time its happened (I think??), and I don't believe the type of diff head used will make a difference, since it's a shock/complete failure thing rather than a slipping/opening up issue.

We opend the diff to find out that we riped the crown wheel of the torsan it self, not what i was hopping for, still looking at a 1.5 way trd diff.

kazz cusco will be better than a TRD item, but by the sounds of it your crown and pinion will just fail then?

I have a trd 2 way diff, after cracking the torsen carrier housing. my viscious shift kitted auto was most likely the culprit. a lot of the big power supras in japan go to a TRD lsd,so i can assume they are stronger. however, it doesn't stop you breaking the pinion/crown wheel combo.(which i heard that the croydon supra did a couple of times.)

Blake we have a trd diff on its way, i can only try it i do now the next thing to go will be the crown wheel and pinion and we are looking into that now.

lol tryed a clutch lsd once, i got about half way down the strip befor all the clutches were soup.
