You can run a redtop/bluetop dizzy as a CAS as it has a crank angle sensor in it.

This is how the NA engines get there crank angle readings. I know many guys who modify normaly dizzy to coil setup and just make a plate that goes over the unit instead of that plastic cover so its smaller as well (good for putting 20v's in rwd's)

maybe its leaking cos you got alot of crank pressure, which maens u need some better breathers on the rocket covers.

I had to put 2 inlet covers on my 4agte so I can vent the exhaust side pressure and it was fine after that, no more leaks.

Smallport only, as the other have different number of teeth in them,
4 pulse and 24 pulse, as opposed to 4AGZE, Smallport and 20V which are
1 pulse and 24 pulse.

Nope dont think so,

But more correctly,
24 pulse, 1 pulse and 1 pulse,
as they have three outputs, the 4th wire being the common earth.

The early 4AGE's had 4 teeth on the top wheel in the dist, and the smallport and GZE have one tooth, but two sensors on it.

Yeah, that sounds right. Getting the 20V dizzy going with a GZE coil and ECU setup was a matter of swapping 2 wires. Think you're right about the 2 pickups on the single pulse

to run a smallport dist instead of a GZE cas, just plug it in and it works.

If your GZE is all complete and running,

just remove the CAS and fit the dist,
plug in the 4 pin plug,

and dont worry about plugging anything into where the HT leads go on the dist,

leave your original coils leads and plugs as is.
