Have you considered DIY rig the electric compressor from Prius (obviously get AC guy to do the lines and gas)?

I havent but thanks for that suggestion.

Looks like work is keen to do the swap with the South Island one which has all the luxuries including leather seats :o Just have to wait another month.

Who knows why it wasnt the othe way around originally. :?

This sounds like the best idea tbh, how ever do you know if it draws off the high voltage or the 12v system?

t sounds like all these options are alot of work, why would it be so hard to reinstall the standard air con system, wudnt it be a straight bolt up?

seems like the obvious solution other than swapping for a different van
The four seasons in Australia consist of "$&#$% it's hot", "Can you believe how $&#$% hot it is?", "I won't be in today because it is too $&#$% hot" and "Yes, the dinner plate size spiders come inside to escape from the heat."

I did some research and it runs at 200-220V AC three phase. So not really an option unless you build an DC-DC with three phase drive system.

Anyway, most electric compressors run from some form of high voltage, simply because it is much more efficient, cheaper and safer to run a small motor @10-15A then @100-200A.
