can some explain how you get them buy? or make? and why you would use them?

Don't you just put a whole lot of washers on the bonnet hinge part.

Why?
To look like a wang. People say it helps let air escape from the engine bay etc.

Or just tell people you did it so the 1UZ would fit in the engine bay of your levin.

Usually just washers on the hinges.

the honda vtax kiddies loves to do it on their pieces of shits, makes them think they're a real racer. It's like come on kid, your B18C vtackz barely makes enough power to boil an egg.

The air vent into the cabin is at the base of the windscreen on pretty much every car ever for a good reason... It's a high pressure area there.

I wouldnt be surprised if raising the rear of the bonnet would stuff air back in rather than let it out, at high speed.

i HAD to do it temporarily recently, Issues with clearance on intercooler piping, anyway i just used a nut with a washer either side. Raised it up about 10mm. My warrant officer said it's illegal. Something to do with $&#$% up the crumple zones...

most rear hinged bonnets have hooks built into the hinge, so in the event of an accident the bonnet gets caught on them and doesnt act like a giant guillotine to the people inside the car.

Raise the bonnet up, those hooks no longer work.

Stupid idea.

AE85/86 has a rubber seal between the bonnet and the bodywork
across the back. If you want a gap there, you can just pull the
rubber sealing strip out of its groove. Easy peasy

thats a great way to let water run down the back of your engine, corroding the CTS connections etc and causing your car to stop running randomly in the rain / not start after a good rain

Same could be said of a lot of things people think are cool though. I think that about carbon fibre bonnets that aren't painted, stickers and black wheels
