1g-fe altezza idleing high

Postby DXROLLA » Wed Jan 29, 2014 6:46 pm

My sister has a 1g-fe powered altezza/is200. It is idleing high when in park and stationary at around 2500rpm-3000rpm. Is there any way of running a diagnosis check on it to get a falt code? Or would any one know what it could be?

Is this from cold or once it should be warmed up? It could be the idle air control valve sticking from carbon build up

The G-series engines are only 3 years older than the S-series.. the 1S first came out in 1982 over 1979 for the 1G. Did you know they made K-series engines up until 2007? Now THAT is more impressive.. :)
