The aircon works fine through the whole heat range but with the aircon turned off the air coming out is warm/hot even on the coolest setting.

Just save yourself some coin and forget about it. All 20v's have this trait, its nothing to worry about.

Obviously you'l be restricted by standards and price, just as important is to get one that fits your head well. No point spending all that money on a fancy design if its going to move around or feel uncomfortable so shop around for one that best fits you.
