Re: Gates V Belt - Where to buy?

I was directed to Belt Drive (in Palmy) to get a new gates dry sump belt. The guy there will be able to help, he was a great help and knows his stuff. He didn't have my belt in stock but was there overnight. Great service!

I have a Motobatt MBTX24U AGM Battery in my lotus 7, has been great, starts my beams 3sge easily, even have it laying on its side. It is happy sitting for a couple of months not being used.

But would recommend putting in an isolator to avoid constant draining of any battery though, I have ecu ...

Not sure about this type of vehicle, but if the wheel bearings are bolted to the upright then you can use tapered shims to adjust the alignment

Doesn't work where the bearing is pressed into the upright though.

Its not a left hand thread is it by any chance?

On the sierra rear end in my lotus 7, had similar problem, other side came off easy as, took ages to work out one side was left hand, therefore had been trying to do it up tighter all day!

Just looking for recommendations for a place to do a wheel alignment and a corner weighting on my Lotus 7 replica. Palmy or Feilding

Want somewhere that is good, and doesn't have a problem with unusual cars, and deals with race cars etc so knows a bit about set up (car is used on road ...

Faster water flow through the radiator core will not always be better, there needs to be time for the heat transfer to occur.

Maybe something to consider.. (not sure on the exact figures so happy to be proven wrong)

For the altezza 3sge beams fuel entry is on the top (above where No 3 injector is) with both ends of the rail blocked off (blind fuel rail)

here is a close up photo

Not sure about the red top beams though..

Sounds like a awesome project, keen to come check it out sometime and catch up (I am down in Bulls)

I think 1 inch might be a bit big unboosted, probably want to look at 7/8 - 5/8 range (I run 11/16 front and rear on my Lotus 7 replica - similar weight)

But yeah talk to Les, he has heaps of ...

I have a roll bar fitted, but not homologated. (was just making sure its not like the dual car sprints where you need a homologated bar)

I had A1 radiators in Christchurch do a custom radiator for my Lotus 7 replica, really happy with the end result as it fits perfectly in the space I had and water temp is stable on the track. Plus get all the fittings exactly where I need them, was well worth it.

Ended up getting a dual pass ...

+1 for the road and track series

Single car sprints, only about 6-8 cars on track with over a 5 sec gap, so plenty of room to move and do your own thing..

Only $75 for the day, for that I did 8 sprints and 1 10min(7 fast laps) session at the end of the day. (45-50 laps total for the day ...
