Re: im back..... with a new toy

Here's the one I just got - just chucked a band expander in it. I've got to the "secret screen" through clicking up and down on the display screen. Can't find any dialog to change to the English option like yours. It's the Gbook equipped model.

C56 Transmission Variations

I'm having a C56 transmission rebuilt for my race car and as we don't have the VIN of the car it came from - apparently there is around 3 or so variations to gearing / parts between the C56 and they can't supply based on gear tooth counts etc..
Any ideas of how to get the right parts for this thing ...

Re: 4AGE 20V Performance - What have you got?

Here's a few dyno plots for my 20V Blacktop as I've modified it:

All runs on NZEFI's dynapack hub dyno.
Initial run:
Stock (internally) Blacktop 20V 4AGE with:
Toda 272/272 Cams
Uprated Kelford Springs
Factory ECU.
SQ Engineering 100mm Velocity Stacks

I've also plotted VVT on and VVT off.

Re: Trip to Japan. What car places to see?

Toyota Automotive Mueseum in Nagoya is pretty good - you ride the Maglev train to get to it. Toyota also does factory tours, but you'll need to book a place in advance (they do them in English too) - google it! There is a lot of Up Garages all around - so it doesn't really matter which one you go to ...

Re: AE92 Vs AE101 for Clubsport

I'm a fan of the AE92.. Get the liftback for maximum styles......

Mines got a 20v blacktop, c160 6-speed LSD box, Tein flex suspension (rock hard), whiteline rear sway bar, Achilles 123s, yellowstuff brake pads.

Neutral Starter Switch (NSW) bypass - AE101

I'm in the process of putting a formerly automatic 20V 4AGE into an AE92 Liftback manual (probably similar to the one your grandmother owns...) and I'm seeking information about the automatic (park/neutral) starter by-pass - that is the thing that allows the car to start only when it's in park or ...

Airbag steering wheels

Hey guys, my mates got a 1995 Sprinter (FWD, SE Vintage) - the airbag has been deployed and as such he needs a new steering wheel.

I realise you must replace it with another air bag wheel, just wondering which other wheels fit on. Are toyotas all the same when it comes to the spline that the ...

Stolen Altezza Wagon Gold CHCH

Hey guys, We've (car groomers) just had a gold Altezza Wagon (2.0l Six, Auto) stolen from our parking area in Central Christchurch. It's a fresh import and hasn't been road registered yet - so it's got no plates. If you see any gold Altezza panels/parts please let us know, 379-1390. Thanks guys ...

Definately room for improvement on the turbo side of things.. Useless poorly designed topmount, the intake is about 2 meters long...

I've got the engine bolted in, strut bar added, EP82 hubs and vented disc added - Sway bar was not a direct bolt in, mounts need to be forward slightly, I'll get it ...

Yeah will get some as I go along!

Don't need any of those relays. Strip back the Ep82 loom, lay over the EP71 and just join up the relevant powers etc.

I'm just concerned as to which parts of the loom I can strip, I'd rather ...

Cheers again Stu.

I have the two engines out of the cars now, for reference sake the 1e took about half an hour to remove!

Am now just working out the exact details of the wiring.. quite a step up from carb to EFI.

With the wiring, how have you gone about it from your swaps? I've been ...

The pumps are in the tank for a standard injected setup and on the side of the head driven by the cam for carby ones. You could run an external VL style pump but you'd want to make sure you never run under say 1/4 tank if your going around corners with no internal baffles in the tank - fine for a ...

Is the pump submerged or inline on the carbed tank? Which extra lines need to be put in? I'm assuming there is feed and return as per standard, would there be any harm in using the pump off the EP82 retrofitted to the EP70?

I've got a whole GT starlet to get bits off mechanically.. Oh and a few ...

Converting to EFI, what exactly is the difference between the EFI tank the and non-EFI?
