I smell a lot of ignorance in this thread ..... Smells like jealousy in fact.

Actually, there are replies ranging all the way from "great" to "crap" from owners and non owners. I'd actually say that it is a pretty good cross section of replies and experiences shown here, considering it's a forum ...

Toy-Baru is right on the money with his comments.

As long as you look after the fueling and maintance side of your subaru you will be sweet.

I'm at 173k in my type r and its still running brilliantly, daily ...

I'd be more than happy for drifters to attend a track day i went to as long as they paid for a street sweeper to go and clean the track of all the dirt and grass from their off track excursions when they get it wrong.........

Not to mention there left over cable ties, bits of fiberglass ...

Use a 20l fuel cell in your boot, would look awesome as well.

In the subaru with a TMIC the watersprayer was incredibly effective, with a FMIC it wasn't so we now use it on the radiator, which works a charm at keeping temps at a nice level.

RX7, Looks a lot nicer than the supras IMO, The only one i have been in was a 300kw monster that scared the bejesus out of me and had me grinning like a fat man at a donut convention. FnF ruined supras for me lol

Have you considered other cars, eg Subaru type R, Handles just like a RWD, 2 door ...

what are the specs of the Supra?

HP? Weight? Boost level? Other modifications?

I mean I could spend ages searching for it, but there will be stuff done that I'll miss, and I'm pretty sure that others would like to know as well.

or is all this sort of thing kept quiet?

Its actually a Celica ...

For the EBC i would thoroughly recommend the Greddy Profec B spec 2, mine held boost solid as a rock and was very easy to tune after the first time.

oh, and upgrade the motor to something decent like a 4k

What about a mighty 2e

I had a corolla with the mighty "tui" engine lol

18.01 1/4.

Rally driving and put a hole in the sump, ran it for 6 months without oil in the engine at all. Funny thing is it started better with no oil than it ...

Bugger, was wanting to pick up some 888's cheap lol.

Would you not be better off in an MR2 having your best on the rear, weight power etc. and fiddling with tyre pressure to get more balance.

Why not get some R888s for the rear.

Or if you are wanting to get rid of your R888s what size and price you looking for.

I "think" that only works if your top gear is 1:1 or something. Otherwise it is a little bit out.

I paid $510 for my personalised plate 2JZGTE about 2 years ago I think cost has got to do with how many letters you use.

Not at all, i got 3 letters and it still cost as much as a regular one.

Cost me 550 18months ago, already been offered 4k for it which i turned down, can't think what life ...

I'm pretty dam keen to get some more track time again, its been a while, any objections to a Subaru joining in for the days festivities.

Will have to see if i can get work off for the weekend. It will be tough as its a crucial one for us on the current project though.

Let me know.

I have Greddy profec spec b 11, i am happy with it on the road, holds lowa nd high boost of 0.9 and 1.15 bar well but at the drags it won't let me go past 1.0 for some reason (possibly heat soak????)

other than that it is excellent.

Used to drag regularly when i had my 1300 corolla (85), this was about 5 years ago, just as the night drags were starting off and the quickest imports were only running 10s

Just started going to the drags again in the STi, its good fun to give the car a bit of a legal thrash every now and again ...
