Could be worse dude, could slip in the shower and slice the end of your knob off on a rusty razor blade then knock over the dettol and fall into it :o

Could be much, much worse.

Well back on topic, my rolla had a 4afe in it, and as you can see it now has a 20v silvertop. I would have gone for the black top but at the time I ddnt have ehough money. So if you do go the black top!!!

As for fitting the engine, it will bolt straight in. 4afe gearbox will bolt on to it, wiring in the engine bay will plug in aswell, just get the wireloom with the engine and the fuse box. Then you just have to worry bout the two plugs under the dash. Oh yea and get the exhaust from the 20v if you can, its much better than the 4afe one.

- I've been driving around a lot and the paint's holding up fine on mine. Even retouched the tip of my exhaust, which was originally blue, until I drove to Auckland one day and practically burned the blue finish off the tip months ago

- Did you sand it down (if it needed it) and use the ground coat stuff first, or just attack it with the red paint?

did exactly the same as we did on yours.

After driving around the heat's sort of baked it in, so it doesn't rub off everytime you touch it

- Why? What's the actual difference between a Blacktop and a Silvertop?

I doubt the people that told tomo1985 know the differences either, if they did they wouldn't have sugested a silvertop over blacktop. Unless you plan on going turbo, get a blacktop.

Have a read of the FAQ section, here's the 4age section in there:
