I was going to put in a bonnet scoop at some stage as well, so it had a cold air feed rather than sucking the hot air form the engine bay. Ended up selling my BZ-G before I could be bothered though.
This was on a Blacktop, you can't do that with a Silvertop if using the stock computer, due to needing the AFM.

The filter socks I used to use had internal springs so the end of the filter sits around 50mm from the end of the trumpet, never had any issues.

most of the air is drawn in from the sides not the top. thats the problem.
