ha crack up

i found no problems withe the two fram filters i used, but ive only used the repco ones before that so not much to compare them to.

whats the other option other than ripco filters?

i change the oil every two months on the 20v
current :project cynos version 2
previous toyotas :93 ae101 sprinter gt sedan 20v, 93 gt starlet,el44 cynos alpha,ae101 trueno.....

I would second the shittiness of fram filters. Took one off this morning and it spilled oil everywhere, didn't seem to be draining back out of the filter. How good are the Ryco filters? I just put one on.

I didn't quite explain myself right, needless to say despite draining oil from the engine first oil poured everywhere and went all over the floor when I took the filter off, I've never had this problem before with the same car (or other cars). I'd also noticed oil pressure randomly dropping the last couple of days. wasted a perfectly good dirty, mouldy towel wiping it up…

Um, yeah thats the way it's supposed to be....
Anti drain back valve prevents the filter emptying of oil whilst engine is switched off. So when you remove the filter there should always still be oil in part of it.
Hard pressed to think of many cars where you won't spill some oil when removing the filter. Back in my Lube bitch days I made all sorts of containers to fit in certain cars to catch spillage

Other option is probably the best one....TGP. Not overly expensive either.

I'm just talking a lot more oil spillage than there'd normally be. Maybe I just accidentally tipped it while taking it out, kinda hard to see on an MR2.

Repco in morrinsville are useless. I work on my cars mainly in morrinsville but still try to avoid going there if I can. It's just to fustrating.

back on the subject of spark plugs anyone know the standard equivallent of pzfr6f-11 cant find any crossover here

it would be a zfr6f-11 but im not sure if you can get them,

p= platinum,
z= extended gap,
f= ø 14, 19mm (3/4”) Reach, 16mm (5/8”) Hex.,
r= resistor,
6= heat range,
f=tapered seat,
11= 1.1mm gap
