i found no problems withe the two fram filters i used, but ive only used the repco ones before that so not much to compare them to.
whats the other option other than ripco filters?
i change the oil every two months on the 20v

I would second the shittiness of fram filters. Took one off this morning and it spilled oil everywhere, didn't seem to be draining back out of the filter. How good are the Ryco filters? I just put one on.

Anti drain back valve prevents the filter emptying of oil whilst engine is switched off. So when you remove the filter there should always still be oil in part of it.
Hard pressed to think of many cars where you won't spill some oil when removing the filter. Back in my Lube bitch days I made all sorts of containers to fit in certain cars to catch spillage
