Buy in Viton, will cost $4

Damn I paid $600 for a cambelt on a ae101 4afe corolla.

Just go to a bearing shop.
They have every possible seal you can think of.
I paid $6 for one Viton seal.
Should last a great deal.

Forget that timing light unless you've verified that the factory marks are correct to begin with AND its got an emissions test to pass, otherwise it's almost useless except for checking the ECU/mechanical/vacuum advance. Its for the factory setting of a compromise between economy & performance ...

Disconnect oil guage. Ignorance is bliss.

Dizzy leak is incredibly common, oil seal on dizzy shaft is usually the cause. If you're going to fix it, remember to mark the dizzy before you pull it out.

Id put it back to 10deg just to be safe...

thanks allencr those pages are quite interesting i think i may need to look at my timing again. it was at about 20deg adv but i pulled it back to about 14deg but could possibly bring it back a bit more. although it seemed to go better on 20deg than it does now!

I went from 98kw to 138kw ATW on 10psi.
Same dyno.
Id be gutted if i only made a 17kw gain...

The rush of the turbo is very exciting.
The annoying thing is that under 3000rpm, a turbo 4age is pretty damn gutless.

Buy what ever your tuner is the most competent with.

My 4age has been running like this for 2 years.
Cold start isnt affected at all.

Take the oil pressure light out.

In Australia, it has to be plumbed back into the intake.
Otherwise the fumes are deadly or something.
Mines just vented to atmo, smells AWESOME
