Actually I think you are right in them requiring a cert. Found this in the lvv guidelines

'springs and seats must not be height adjustable'

I was under the impression that it would only need a cert if it the spring sat on a thredded sleeve and could be adjusted whilst still attached to the car ...

Bilstein Circlip Height Shocks - JZX100

Hi Lads,
Does anybody know if Bilstein manufactures circlip height adjustable shocks for JZX100's? If so, what is the part number?
Trying to get around needing a low volume cert for the chaser and they should match well with my existing TRD springs.

If anybody can help that would be great ...

Thanks anyways chaps. 8)

I just cannot justify having a full cage as it is getting turned back into a street car and will rarely see the track. Even if it does they will be only small private days. Not full on MSNZ Events etc.

I'll have a think about it anyways. May as well keep it then. I was just tossing up ideas.

Cert Issues (Rollcage)

Hey Chaps,

I have just acquired an AE86 which is having issues with the completion of its LVV Cert.

Because the car has a 6point MSNZ homoligated rollcage. I need to join a MotorsportNZ affiliated club and get a race licence in order for the cert plate to be dispatched to me. (It has passed ...

Suspension Compatibility [ AE92/101/111 ]

I have just aquired an AE92 Corolla GT Sedan and i'm about to embark on a long journey to getting it immaculate as it once was.

One of the first things I am tackling is the suspension,

Are the shocks and springs a straight bolt on between AE92/101/111? Obviously the springs will be a different ...

AT141 Corona GT 4AGE Q's!

just some questions as i have just bought one

1. Do the AE86 share the same rails? (so i could use the 86 seats) if not what cars do?

2. Will the TRD spec race springs off an AE86 fit on the AT141 struts?

3. are the TA63's interchangable with front and rear bumpers and headlights?

4 ...

firstly make sure u crank the motor round and round but dont fire it up....let the oil pressure build up and lubricate all the engine internals

0 - 500km = up and down the revs, no full throttle or boost (if turbo), no more than 3500rpm

OIL CHANGE

500 - 1000km = up and down the revs, no ...

on my old s13 i ran a straight thru 2.5" system to a 4" n1 style muffler.

was really good....not much more noticable lag

3" is good but not worth it unless u step up to a T28 or something similar, plus its pretty loud

the t25 runs well with a 2.5" :)

it really depends on how worn ur piston rings etc are.

if u are really worried why not get urself $10 and head to repco for some of that "no smoke" stuff.....it works wonders

then it shouldnt smoke/burn as much

ps. this will not FIX THE PROBLEM, just temporarily fix it till u replace what ...

Dunlop Direzzas i think....look pretty good

i have FM901's on the rear and Nankang NS-1's on the front

not too bad tyres, i dont have much experience with different types but they are pretty good for what i've driven on before
