Re: Any tyre guys out there?.......

replace them. If you bought them with the wheels then they could have been to africa and back. Looks like they have dried out and hardened.

Probably not really the tire/design at fault.

Bit of a dodgy topic again.

the honda motor will always have the edge with vtec. But theres no reason why you couldnt get a 4age up to the same power numbers as a vtec.

vtec style tech has been implemented by toyota and nissan as VVTL and mitsi as Mivec. 4age never came with the same tech.

I quickly glanced at the periodic table.
The table is grouped together with elements exhibiting similar properties being next to each other.
Now can you take a wild stab in the dark and guess what element is right below tin? Thats right, good old lead. Perhaps its not relevant as they should ...

decreasing the piping size may help response but it wont help with lag much.

The second graph looks nice power wise. I found torque didnt tune my car properly. Yours looks quite good.

I like porsches approach which gains the TT carrera full torque from about 1650rpm. Variable geometry turbos!

Sounds a bit like people are confusing VVT as a Vtec equivalent.

VVT aims to change the time that valves open. You would want to do this constantly to get the optimum timing at each rpm and load, hence why you dont have a switch point for it because its always working.

Vtec/VVTL/VVL/mivec or ...

While the idea seems good, i do not believe it will work in practice.

The compressor is not designed to catch airflow and spool up.
The closed throttle will quickly create a vacuum and stall the compressor
And, the BOV is there in the first instance to stop compressor stall, the sound is just a ...

You're not thinking about the problem properly.
A boost controller is basically just a wastegate controller. The wastegate will only be a problem if it cannot flow enough or is leaking while closed. From what others have said the caldina turbo doesnt suffer from either issue in a mild state of ...

I find there are generally 3 grades of boost controllers.
Firstly the bleed valve mechanical style which just arent worth it.

The next are simple electronic controllers like greddy profec range (excluding e01)

After that are the more complex electronic controllers such as AVCR, E01 the HKS ...

The motors in them are pretty wah wah.
Ive had better experiences revving out 3.8L commodores than those detomaso motor. They go okay but they just dont rev, probably due to sohcness.
